Access this feature:
RV Article publisher > Left menu in admin panel > Form settings > 'add form field'.
RV Article publisher > Left menu in admin panel > Form settings > 'edit form field'.
What is a 'form field'?
'Form field' means a data entering field in a form. It can be a textbox, checkbox, radiobutton, multi-select box etc . You can create multiple form fields with RV Article publisher to get more information from your subscribers.
Default are the username, email, password and CAPTCHA fields which you can not edit or delete.
Options to create a form field:
Name:
Name of the field that your subscriber can see. Ex: Favorite color, Web site, Phone number
Field Type:
You have options of creating Textbox, radiobutton, checkbox, multiselect box, dropdown box and Textarea.
Values:
If you choose to create a checkbox or radiobutton or multi-selectbox or dropdown box, you need to enter values so your subscriber can select the options. Seperate them by comma. Example: red,green,blue
Mandatory:
If you want the subscriber to fill a form field, you can select this option as 'Yes'. So if subscriber forgets to fill this field, script throws error saying it need to be filled.
Where will you see these form fields?
1. On registration form:
Default are username, email, password with CAPTHA verification. Whatever extra forms you create, they will be displayed on the registration form based on your options at 'edit form fields'.
2. Profile > 'edit profile':
You can see these extra form fields in your members profile.
3. Users > 'edit user':
When you click on 'edit' link next to a user in adminpanel, you will see the form fields for you to edit.
What can be done at 'edit form fields'?
1. edit/delete form field:
You can edit or delete a form field. But if you delete one, all data pertaining to that field will be deleted permanantly.
2. Enable/disable:
You have an option to actually display a form field on the places mentioned above.
3. Order:
This option determines in which order you want the form fields to display in the form.
