Categories > add/edit category : Unlimited categories and sub-categories with specific title, keywords and url tags.

Access this feature:

RV Article publisher > Left menu in admin panel > Categories > 'add category'.

RV Article publisher > Left menu in admin panel > Categories > 'edit category'.

Options to create a category:

Name:

Name of the category. Make it simple. Because this will display infront of the title tag. So long names make the titles much longer.

URL tag:

Only letters and numbers. No special characters are allowed. Spaces are replaced by the hyphen.

Choose category to create subcategory:

If you want the category to be a subcategory, select the already existing category from drop down list. Otherwise your category will become main category

Title, Description, keywords:

Specific to that category pages where articles will be listed.

HTML:

You can display html on category pages. See the example here:

The image and links are created in this html textarea will be displayed on top of category pages.

How to edit a category?

When you click on Categories > 'edit category' link, you will see the list of categories and sub-categories.

1. You can edit the category by clicking on 'edit' link next to the name.

2. You can delete category by clicking on 'remove' link. If there are any articles in it or any sub-categories under it, you can not delete that category until you move articles under it. You will get a message 'You can't remove a category that contains articles or has subcategories'.

3. You can alter the order the categories will display in left menu by clicking on arrows before them. See the following image. You can move categories up and down ONLY in that level. So first level categories only move up or down with other first level categories.
