Drip feeding is a method in which pre-written content/messages are released over a period of time based on specific criteria(s).

How to create drip feeding of articles or content?

Step one:

Click on 'add content' link under 'Content' in left menu. While adding article/page, select the 'Drip feed article/page?' checkbox.

Once you save this article, it will be listed under 'drip feed settings'.

Step two:

Click on 'drip feed settings' option.

You can release content based on days after article adding, date of the month or user registration date.

* Based on date of article adding: It will be 'n' days after the article date.
Ex: if you added an article on 5th and set it to 3 days, it will be published on 8th.

* Based on date of the month: Select a future date.
Ex: if you added an article on 5th and set it to be published on 15th of the same or next month.

* Based on user registration date: This option will be displayed for private articles only. Users can see content after they log-in into the user panel.
Ex: If 'user1' registered on 2nd and 'user2' registered on 10th. But both of them see the article after set days. Like in the image, 3 days after registration.

What is the purpose of drip feeding content?

1. Publish paid subscription newsletters:

If you want to send paid ezines subscriptions, you can publish the newsletters at specified intervals.

2. Search engine crawling:

Many webmasters believe that constant adding of content encourages search engines to visit their site frequently.

3. Other purposes of content management:

Like you are going on vacation and still you want to publish few articles in your absence, then drip feeding is a way to go. Also used for sales process as visitor returns to the site few times until he finishes the series of the content.
