FIVE tips on Sending attachments with Autoresponder emails.

Webmasters like to send free reports or downloads as an attachments to the emails. This method was working ok when sp*am is not this prevalent. Now a days every body are skeptical about email that is reaching their inboxes. They are trying to protect themselves from these junk email.

They enabling spamassassins, spam filters, redirection emails, email forwarding etc to get rid of sp*am. Especially these filters delete email with attachments.

So how to deal with this?

1. Send a link:

Send the report as a link in the email. Best option. The reader clicks on the email to download it from your web site.

2. Listed under safelist:

Ask the user to add your email to their safe list. This way they will be sure of getting your attachments.

3. Attachment type:

Stop using formats like exe, rtf, doc types. Zip them and sending them is better option than sending like original document.

4. Attachment size:

Big attachments of some megabytes size are particularly targets for deletion. Make in to small zip files if sending attachments is essential.

5. Server error:

Some hosts install Antivirus software that stops delivering the email with attachment(s) from your web site. Exclude this before you actually sending attchments to your users.
