Banning free email accounts is Good for Your list building?
Email marketers always debate about whether to allow or not to allow free email addresses in their list. A question from an email marketer -
“Many people use free email accounts to subscribe lists or autoresponders. So if I ban those emails, will my list develop as expected?”
There are pros and cons as always, like any other strategy …
Pros of banning free email accounts:
* Most responsive list.
* No email bounces.
* No complaints from host.
* Resources are used effectively.
Cons of banning free email accounts:
* Lists will not be that big.
* Sometimes you will lose real subscribers who actually don’t own any web site/domain email.

How to keep your list clean?
* Use double opt-in while you are allowing free email accounts.
* Use your autoresponder feature llike ‘Bounce management’ to weed out the bounces of free email accounts and delete them.
* Delete unsubscribers and Unconfirmed email addresses.
