Email deliverability - Why should you be so concerned about it?

This can be done by offering a free ecourse or an ezine or a free report etc. Install a mailing list software on your web site and set up a form on your site. Your visitors subscribes and confirms the subscription by double opt-in.

 

Maintaining a list:

 

Getting subscribers is not enough, but you should get the concept of list management. Like updating your subscribers with good information, giving what you have promised, respecting your subscriber unsubscriptions, managing your bounces to keep your list clean etc are part of your list management strategy.  

 

Sending email and optimizing for Email deliverability:

 

Email messages out of your script can be email follow ups, promotional emails, broadcasts. You have worked hard to develop a list of 50,000 subscribers. If you send an email to them and if 50% of your subscribers don't get it, what is the purpose of you doing marketing?

 

Think about it ... 50% of your potential buyers ar not actually receiving your email. Email deliverability means the ACTUAL OPTIMIZATION PART OF YOUR EMAIL MARKETING THAT IMPROVES THE DELIVERY OF MESSAGES TO YOUR SUBSCRIBERS INBOX.

 

Email deliverability can be improved by setting up SPF record, hosting with a reputable host with dedicated ip, setting up rDNS, double opt-ins, some internal optimization of your autoresponder etc.

 

Achieving Your goal from your efforts:

 

Each email marketer has different goals on what to achieve from their list. Some marketers develop list just to sell the advertising space and earn money. Some marketers develop list to promote their affiliate products. Still some others want to promote their own service/product.

 

Whatever it is, you should get it from your list. This can be done by increasing email openings, offering good information, worthy sale offer, discounts etc.
