SEVEN Ezine Sending Tips.
1. Pick a date or day of the week or month:
Send the ezine on a constant date. So your subscribers get used to the frequency. If you missed to send the ezine on particular date, then send it on earliest time. Don’t skip it.
2. Always keep subscriber’s details:
Use subscription information of the subscriber in every ezine. This way your subscriber knows that you are not sp*amming him.
3. Don’t send attachments:
On some servers or email clients, email with attachments are automatically pushed in to bulk folder. If possible keep them as downloadable links in emails, so subscriber clicks on the link to download the product.
4. Use ‘Unsubscribe link’:
You must give respect to your subscriber’s interest. If they don’t want to receive any more emails, then they can click on this unsubscribe link to remove themselves from the list.
5. Use your contact details:
Publish your contact details like email, helpdesk link or physical address for easy contact. Some ezine publishers publish their phone numbers too. But publishing phone numbers is up to you. Especially if you are selling advertising space on your ezine, you should specifically include physical address.
6. Keep your list clean:
Delete bounces once in a while to keep your list clean. Not the number of subscribers that matters. It is the responsiveness of the list. You may just have 500 subscribers but with 2% conversion. It is very responsive subscriberbase.
7. Survey your subscribers:
Once in a while send a survey form to collect your subscribers opinion on your ezine. Ask them how they rate your ezine, how to improve it and how useful it is etc… This way you can know how to improve your ezine and same time it strengthens the relation between you and your subscriber.
