I know everything seems to run on a lic key..but what if something happens
to the OP, and the client domain goes down...does this mean that whoever
has a lic for whatever script will cease to function?

You always own a license. Even your present site is down once it gets back online, you can access the script sameway.
If you change your domain or if you want to install the script on different site, just let me know. I will reissue the license as fresh. So you can install it on new domain.

My client? Means the buyer of the script?

Your client (the owner) because it seems that all lic scripts
are reliant on your client, so if the owners client/domain goes
down, then it would make since that all lic scripts would cease
to function...

No. you have to upload key.php to your script root folder. You will get that from members area. See last step in installation guide.
